I always hated that quote cause there is too much wrong with it.
If someone comes back they are either a sl*t or in it for the money. Or both.
Who knows how often this imaginary person in this saying got intimate with someone else before coming back to you. Probably has herpes by now.. or worse.
Also this saying is selfish in nature.
One just pretends they let someone go, but actually they only do it cause they expect them to come back because of how nice and kind they were to let them go.
If you love someone you should let them find happiness, even if it isn't with you.

In relationships, there are instances where one may be taken for granted, and it's only when they let go that the other person realizes the value of what they had, recognizing that the 'bad' was worth the 'good.' However, this dynamic doesn't always work, especially in today's world. Sometimes you and that person might be better off if that person is gone. I hope I didn't remind you of bad things in life my fellow internet user <3
